JOB TITLE: ENGINEERING MANAGER

Participate in the design of, and direct other engineers in the design, simulation and testing of Application Specific Integrated Circuits;
Use proprietary algorithms for video/media processing and implement integrated circuits using a variety of design and simulation tools;
Define feature enhancements in the video processor architecture;
Micro-architecting design enhancements;
Porting SOC to lower geometry library node;
Provide support for current SOC; and
Utilize sound engineering knowledge base and experience with VHDL and other design and simulation languages and tools

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Experience with design and development of system on a chip solutions;
VLSI design and verification tools; analysis of architectural tradeoff;
fabrication technologies;
integration of components into design;
ability with parsing complex engineering projects into implementable and logical blocks;
Evaluating, analyzing build vs. buy tradeoffs with respect to such technology blocks;
Management of teams to concurrently implement various pieces of a solution and integrating the parts to create VLSI products

Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field plus 5 years experience in the job offered or 5 years experience as Design Engineer, Electrical Engineer or related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field plus 7 years experience in the job offered or 7 years experience as Design Engineer, Electrical Engineer or related occupation.

Will accept foreign degree equivalent.

JOB TITLE: SENIOR STAFF ENGINEER

Design firmware to work on Quartics proprietary media processing system on chip solutions;
Develop firmware for video decode and encode in conformance with certain industry standards for video compression/decompression such as VC-1, H.264, AVC and others;
Develop firmware for video decode and encode in conformance with certain industry standards for video compression/decompression such as VC-1, H.264, AVC and other others;
Develop firmware for features related to video conferencing;
Integrate and test the firmware working in conjunction with Quartics SoC;
Utilize specialized tools such as kernel debugger and JTAG

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Experience with Digital Signal Processing;
design and development of firmware;
video encoding and decoding schemes and standard;
programming in C.
