QUARTICS DELIVERS BREAKTHROUGH TECHNOLOGY
Just as computers with graphics-accelerating hardware in the 1990s displayed detailed
graphics with more pixels and colors, a need exists today for a processor capable
of handling the demands of processing and enhancing the quality of high-definition
video. Quartics answers this need with the QV1721 video processor designed to efficiently
encode, decode and transcode all popular standards of video content while enhancing
the consumers viewing experience to a degree never before possible. These processors
are all based on Quartics’ revolutionary and proprietary QVU™
architecture. Now PC and consumer devices can provide an HD quality viewing performance
regardless of the original video source, using a low cost, low power video processor
from Quartics.
The Quartics patented Qvu architecture overcomes the difficulties commonly associated
with HD video processing and quality enhancement. It simplifies the complexities
commonly found in efficiently implementing the numerous codecs required to support
today’s HD video content. Quartics deploys Qvu in a low cost, low power semiconductor
that, when coupled with our proprietary pre- and post-processing image enhancement
algorithms, provides a unique and unmatched video processing solution for OEMs and
ODMs.
Quartics provides a complete solution for the QV1721 video processing SoC (system-on-a-chip)
and an entire suite of software and reference designs. In order to accelerate time
to market for devices utilizing the PCIe card interface, Quartics also provides
QV1721-based PCIe modules.
