The Solana HD video processor is Quartics’ Qvu™-based, single-chip, full-featured, programmable video processing unit (VPU) specially designed for video accessories such as Quartics HDMI to HDMI video processing cable or module.


The Solana HD VPU is a single-chip, fully-programmable video processing unit designed as a flexible, high-performance solution for use in consumer electronic video accessories. Because the Solana HD video processor is based on Qvu™ architecture, it provides the same high-performance video playback, image enhancement, SD upscale, and 2d to 3D conversion capabilities as Quartics’ other video processing solutions.

The Solana HD VPU can be incorporated into HDMI cables, modules and other consumer electronic accessories to provide convenient, consumer-friendly solutions for adding Super Resolution image enhancement, SD to HD upscale, 2d to 3D conversion, and other video processing features to existing consumer electronic products such as digital TVs, PCs, set-top boxes, or Blu-ray and DVD players.
